We are currently recruiting for a fostering social worker to contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Fostering and Connected Carers Service in an efficient manner; taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision, and assessments of foster carers and connect carers. Providing reports to panel and/ or courts in timely manner. Social Workers case will be dependent upon the complexities of cases and the social worker’s experience.
The post holder will adhere to and uphold the codes of conduct set out by Medway Council, the HCPC and The College of Social Work.
You will be required to work with children and families to support vulnerable service users ensuring the needs of the child remain paramount. To assess, plan and use evidence based analytical practice to implement and evaluate safeguarding measures to ensure all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
The successful applicant will assist with the carer recruitment campaigns, the assessment of new applicants and participate in the fostering duty rota. To work to a structured time management practice; submitting reports, assessments and plans within regulated timescales.
You will be required to coordinate, and take a lead role in multi-professional/agency core groups and other professional meetings and to be competent in all areas of the Skills and Competency framework for Social Workers.
