About the role… The role will have overall responsibility for the Council’s venues including Oakham Castle and Rutland County Museum, ensuring that the cultural opportunities and the visitor experience provided are attractive to residents and visitors to Rutland, and that commercial opportunities are realised to support delivery of the service.
Supporting the Head of Investment and Visitor Economy to deliver transformational change across the service it will play a key role in helping to shape and embed new ways of working, promoting revenue generating innovations which will help the service to grow and develop.
The Cultural and Visitor Economy Manager will be a passionate advocate for the culture and heritage in Rutland and will identify and create appropriate links with Council-wide teams, providing advice and guidance on all strategic issues relating to the Council’s cultural services and ensuring that future opportunities for the sector are represented positively.

PCSOs must use their powers appropriately and acting within force guidelines.Salary and Shift Allowance<ul><li>Grade 2-3 (£24,222 - £29,109)</li><li>£24,222 for the first 9 weeks of training.</li><li>£34,922 after training to include shift allowance and weekend working. You will receive 14% shift allowance after the initial 9-week training period.</li><li>Successful applicants would normally be appointed on the bottom of the salary range (Exceptions may apply).</li></ul>Key Accountabilities<ul><li>PCSOs will patrol on foot, in uniform, to provide a highly visible policing presence in communities. PCSOs will get to know their allocated area and its residents and will focus on long-term problem solving to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in their area as well as improve community confidence.</li><li>Develop close working relationships with key community bodies such as local councils, schools, housing associations and community organisations, to gather and provide information, support the vulnerable, promote community cohesion, and identify and tackle issues such as anti-social behaviour.</li><li>Develop effective relationships with individuals, including people who are vulnerable and at risk, across the community, providing support and guidance to identify root causes, assess needs, prevent crime, respond to concerns, and build trust in policing.</li><li>While patrolling, PCSOs will deal with incidents they encounter and will be responsible for enforcing law on the streets, calling on police officer colleagues where needed.
