 role: 
Licensing in Reading is a huge and varied area of work. We have a
 booming daytime and evening economy and all the associated
 challenges which that presents. 
 
As a Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer,
 you'll take a lead role in ensuring compliance with licensing
 laws and protecting the public across a wide range of areas -
 including taxis and private hire vehicles, licensed premises,
 gambling, events, and street trading. 
 
You'll conduct complex investigations,
 carry out inspections, respond to complaints, and take
 enforcement action where necessary, including preparing and
 presenting cases for committee hearings or legal proceedings.
 You'll also lead covert operations and collaborate with other
 enforcement agencies to tackle unlicensed or unlawful
 activity. 
 
In addition to enforcement work, you'll
 play a key role in mentoring junior officers, shaping policies,
 and deputising for the Principal Licensing Enforcement Officer
 when needed. You'll work closely with councillors, licensees,
 residents and external stakeholders to provide expert advice,
 manage sensitive issues, and ensure that licensing conditions are
 upheld. 
 
Your work will directly contribute to public safety, fair
 trading, and community well-being across Reading. 
 
You would need to be
 able to demonstrate:

The Role
As an Accommodation Procurement Officer, you will work closely with our Homelessness Prevention Officers to secure private rented sector accommodation for households at risk of homelessness.

Your main responsibilities will include:

About You

<li>Strong organisational skills and excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li>

About the role:
The Community Partnerships Service, which sits within Housing &amp; Communities to ensure the service is better placed to support, enable, and protect individuals and communities and is now looking for an enthusiastic Sustainable Communities Officer to join the team.
 We have a great track record in building strategic partnerships, successfully bidding for Government funding, major project delivery and being the best landlord in the town. This is an exciting community focussed role which will require you to support the development of asset-based community development plans through connecting services with residents to jointly shape positive activity and outcomes to achieve sustainable resolutions to improve the lives of local residents. You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with our amazing stakeholders to enable effective connections across the areas to achieve these positive outcomes and support the delivery of local projects as well as supporting the shaping and delivery of services and activities from our 4 housing owned community centres.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Support the development and monitor/refresh collaborative asset-based community development plans, which will drive locality delivery to improve outcomes for people living in those identified neighbourhoods and ensure those neighbourhoods feel clean, green and safe.</li>
<li>Act as a broker between neighbourhoods, internal RBC teams and partners to identify and progress activity to support neighbourhood change aimed at delivering improved outcomes and service priorities.</li>
<li>Work alongside the Community Development Officers to build knowledge of community priorities and ensure feedback from community consultations/conversations help shape neighbourhood plans and inform service development.</li>
<li>Build relationships with the local Voluntary and Community Sector organisations, including faith based and equalities led organisations, to identify opportunities to work together for the benefit of residents, including offering spaces or organisations to deliver activities more locally.</li>
<li>Support the promotion of neighbourhood related events and activities across services and partners to ensure maximum participation.</li>
<li>Work with the Community Centre Co-ordinator to ensure that activities delivered at the centres are shaped by residents.</li>
<li>Provide updates relating to Asset Based Community Development Plans and activity happening in local areas to improve outcomes for neighbourhoods and resident wellbeing at a range of forums and through written reports.</li>

About you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with excellent communication skills and experience in working with communities to shape local services and partnership working. You will have experience of working within culturally diverse and/or disadvantaged communities, experience of building networks and working with partners to deliver new initiatives in local communities. You will need the ability to confidently communicate with a range of audiences and understand the views of others. Multitasking and working both individually and as part of a team are key attributes too!

About the role &nbsp;
This role, although contractually office based, allows for hybrid working with an aim of making it easier to manage workloads and a work/life balance. You will also be out and about on the estates, visiting people in their homes. This is a very varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. One day you will be visiting residents in their home to discuss affordable payment arrangements and the next carrying out tenancy sign ups.&nbsp;
You will be creative in your approach to support customers and ensure optimal income collection. You'll also carry out a range of tasks including looking at dedicated accounts and really getting to know your tenants, providing expert welfare benefit and income maximisation advice, assisting in preparing applications for court, organising and attending case conferences and court hearings. You will have an eye for detail and will want to do the best by our residents in supporting them to sustain their tenancies. &nbsp;

The following experience is required for this role:&nbsp;

Experience in income management or debt recovery/collection up to court applications (preferably in a social housing environment although this is not essential) or a similar environment&nbsp;

Mobile Estate Services Warden (Mobile Caretaker)
Salary Range £23,557 - £24,264 for 37 hours per week

About the role
The Mobile Estate Services Warden will work in a small, dedicated team of estate wardens contributing to the delivery of housing services provided by the Council. The Estate Services team provides an in-house cleaning service to our residential and communal blocks and estates. The mobile estate warden will work alongside the team who are based at Surrey Towers in Addlestone. The mobile estate warden will be responsible for visiting the Council’s different sites, across Runnymede to ensure we continue to provide a first-class cleaning service for our residents. Previous experience of domestic/commercial cleaning is essential.
About you
Our in-house cleaning service is a physically demanding job so being physically fit is essential to dealing with the various tasks that the role entails. The role requires someone who has previous experience within the cleaning industry and is outgoing as engaging with our residents and other team members within the council is very important. An understanding of current health and safety and COSHH would be an advantage. This role will require the right candidate be able to travel across the borough using a company vehicle, so a driving licence is essential. The role will require you to work both alone and as part of a team depending on the needs of the job. You will be required to provide occasional out of hours, on call cover, with emergency assistance.&nbsp; Some previous experience using various Microsoft applications to log site visits and fly tipping issues would be an advantage although training will be provided.
