What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

Job Title:&nbsp;Payroll and Pensions Administrator&nbsp;
Location:&nbsp;Islington, London, (Around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station) Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office and service visits regularly across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. Once a month, the full People and Culture team have a collaborative office day on a Monday.&nbsp;
Salary:&nbsp;£27,000
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, with some flexibility around these hours as required.
About the role
Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

<li>Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.</li>
<li>Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.</li>
<li>Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.</li>
</ul>
In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.

What we’re looking for Reporting to the Director of Housing Strategy, the Head of Private Sector Licencing and Home Improvement will lead a service area that provides strategic direction for the Council’s housing improvement and assistance service and the property licensing and enforcement function. This is an area of the division with big ambition, as we have recently expanded our property licencing schemes and have seen an increase in applications from residents for support from our grants, specifically the Disabled Facilities Grant. Managing a service of up to 100 staff the post-holder will lead our ambitions to work proactively within the private rented sector to drive up standards and safety for Lewisham’s residents. With expertise in the legal framework of regulation and licensing, you’ll be at the forefront of operationalising our new licensing scheme, and will maximise their impact through innovative new approaches to engaging with our residents. You will also be responsible for utilising a home assistance grant of £2million a year to support our most vulnerable residents to live in safe and secure homes from which they can live independent lives. We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader, communicator and manager who can demonstrate strong experience of delivering an operational income-generating service, ideally with a background in commercial or regulatory and enforcement services as well as a strong background and experience in managing Disabled Facilities Grants services. About the role
We’re set to launch a new organisational strategy in the autumn, and as part of this, we have ambitious plans to grow both our brand awareness and our income; to support the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer.&nbsp; We’re recruiting for a senior marketing and communications planning and measurement manager to join the charity’s newly created brand, marketing and communications directorate and play a critical role in achieving these strategic ambitions. This new role will be pivotal in supporting our ambitions to build brand awareness, drive income and engagement.

The role provides a great opportunity to work with communications channel specialists and marketing stakeholders across the charity, to coordinate and align outputs to our integrated plan.&nbsp; You’ll also act as the key contact to our media agencies, ensuring briefing, optimisation, measurement and evaluation processes are robust.&nbsp;
To work truly cross organisationally, you’ll possess excellent interpersonal and consultative skills and be adept at building and managing positive working relationships with people at all levels.&nbsp; You’ll also have strong project management experience, to support the implementation of new planning processes.&nbsp; &nbsp;And you’ll be experienced in using audience data and insight to develop successful marketing and communications strategies, along with performance data to monitor and maximise impact.

Whilst you will be part of a team, we need Hostel Managers who are able to work with a minimum of supervision and take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the hostel buildings and supporting our residents on their journey to finding settled accommodation.
The role entails: Inducting new residents, managing anti-social behaviour, ensuring the buildings are Health and safety compliant, enforcing Licence Agreement conditions, carrying out voids management and evictions, undertaking daily Site checks, raising, monitoring and following up on repairs, supervision of Hostel Caretakers and provision of support and guidance to customers particularly relating to Move On options.

- Experience of working within the framework of the Homelessness Reduction Act&nbsp;
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to converse at ease with customers and have open conversations regarding the length of stay in hostels and move on options.
- Active and confident with a ‘can do attitude’&nbsp;

- Able to respond to varied customer needs and manage expectations
- The ability to show empathy as many customers have gone through a crisis resulting in them being placed in hostel accommodation&nbsp;
- Planning and organisational skills are vital to this role&nbsp;&nbsp;
- An understanding of health &amp; safety requirements in hostels
- The ability to work unsupervised.

Our Service
The Benefits &amp; Homeless Prevention Service is a very busy service, working with a wide range of residents who need our support to deal with the complex challenges they face. It is also a great place to work, develop and learn.
