Starting Salary: £38,220 progressing to £41,771 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Stevenage / Hybrid
Contract Type: Permanent
Directorate: Adult Care Services

About the team

Our Adult Social Care Performance Team plays a vital role in embedding data-driven decision making across services, supporting improved outcomes for adults and carers across Hertfordshire.

About the role

You will join a high-performing, fast-paced Performance Team, delivering statutory and operational performance and intelligence across Adult Care Services. Working flexibly across the county and remotely, you will collaborate closely with internal services, regional and national networks, and partners in health and the voluntary sector.

You will lead on intelligence reporting for specific service areas, transforming and presenting complex datasets into clear, accessible insight for a range of stakeholders by using a variety of Microsoft tools. Operating within established procedures and analytical frameworks, you will collate, analyse, and interpret data to produce clear, accurate and timely reporting. This includes identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement, with a strong awareness of data quality, service processes, and user input. You will use your ability to present your analysis to deliver performance reporting to service leads to support senior decision-making.

A key aspect of the role is the use of Power BI to develop, deliver and maintain dashboards by using existing measures and visualisations. Working closely with stakeholders, you will co-produce dashboards using user stories managed as part of an Agile approach to ensure the products are user focused and aligned to agreed standards. By integrating feedback from end users and addressing issues highlighted during testing, you will facilitate a controlled rollout of dashboards for broader organisational deployment. This includes presenting dashboards across various services to ensure stakeholders comprehend the data and insights provided within them.

About you

Essential:

  • Experience producing, analysing, and delivering performance and management information to stakeholders and HCC partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, including identifying trends, risks, and data quality issues.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and partners to deliver clear, user-focused reporting on Power BI dashboards and other MS Tools, including use of DAX and SQL to arrive at the required outputs.
  • Awareness of statutory responsibilities within Adult Social Care.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of systems used to capture Adult Social Care records.
  • Experience contributing to statutory data returns.
  • Experience working with regional, national and external stakeholders.
