The Borough of Broxbourne is in south east Hertfordshire bordering London and the M25, with a population of about 93,600. Stratford International station is 25 minutes by train and there is good access to airports and the rest of the country. Broxbourne is a Green Belt borough containing much of the Lee Valley Regional Park and home to the White Water centre which hosted the canoeing events at the London Olympics. Graduate Surveyor - (Ref: 1N206)

Starting salary £23, 377 pa

The Council wishes to recruit a Graduate Surveyor to assist in the management of the Council’s land and property portfolios, together with assisting in acquisitions, sales and development projects.

The successful applicant will carry out lease renewals, rent reviews, inspections, dilapidations, repairs orders, service charges, acquisitions, disposals and general day-to-day management of properties. Although mainly commercial premises, there will also need to be some residential management input as well. In addition the successful candidate will be liaising with a range of professional consultants, members of the general public and contributing to the overall aims of Ambition Broxbourne, the Council’s Economic Development Strategy and the Council’s Asset Management Strategy.

They will also be working towards gaining full accreditation from the RICS in General Practice division and the Council will provide the necessary backup to enable them to fulfil this ambition.
