We are looking to recruit an Administration Officer who will work as part of our Environmental Health team based at the Dartford Civic Centre offices.
As an Administration Officer, you will be part of a friendly team that makes a difference in protecting the public’s health and safety. Amongst other things, our team is responsible for food hygiene inspections, health and safety at work, stray dogs, pest control, noise complaints and air quality monitoring. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and as our Resident Liaison Officer, you’ll ensure our residents are regularly engaged with and consulted on works to be carried out to their properties and that it meets their satisfaction and our specification. You’ll work closely with colleagues and contractors to ensure seamless and prompt delivery of building work. In addition, you’ll set up and attend public meetings with residents, contractors and other colleagues to present investment proposals and maximise resident engagement. You’ll also act on behalf of residents, to ensure concerns, complaints and enquiries raised are effectively investigated and addressed, with outcomes communicated to those all involved. To be considered for this role, you’ll have experience of working in a front-line customer focused and high volume area with a good understanding of housing management issues and building /refurbishment projects. Key Responsibilities include: The RLO will act as the primary point of contact for residents affected by damp, mould, and condensation issues, ensuring effective communication, resident support, and efficient case progression. Are you up for a challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic, IT literate, motivated individual to work as a Housing Scheme Officer within our Housing Scheme &amp; Finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity, working in a specialist intensive housing management team which is responsible for delivering a comprehensive customer centred enhanced housing management support service through its day to day management of Dartford Borough Council’s sheltered properties for older people. Please note that this is a remote worker role, based in and around Dartford’s sheltered housing schemes, and so efficient use of your time is essential to successfully achieve the many and varied tasks you will be responsible for throughout the day.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, as is an in-depth understanding of safeguarding issues, but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.&nbsp; Other key duties include signposting tenants to support services and helping tenants to maintain their independence.&nbsp; Managing low level anti-social behaviour from a variety of sources (not just the occupants of the building) is also an essential part of this role, as well as undertaking property management inspections and assisting with rent arrears recovery. You must be a good communicator who is able to plan and deliver your own agreed work programme, whilst working with and supporting your team colleagues.
You must be able to evidence the following skills and experience:

Are you up for a challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work as part of the Dartford Borough Council Park Ranger Team within the highly respected, busy multi-functional Council Waste, Public Realm &amp; Enforcement Services section.
This is a uniformed role, working as part of a small team. Your focus will be on the Dartford Parks, other children’s playgrounds and open spaces and patrolling the Buccaneer Bay playground in Central Park, to a rota with other Park Rangers / Officers.
You will provide guardianship, security, reassurance and assistance to the public and be the eyes and ears of the Council and Police partners providing a friendly public face for the public. You will enforce byelaws and other relevant legislation including the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices for offending behaviour such as dog fouling, littering, fly tipping, fly grazing and behaviour contained within the town’s Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). You will be required to assist in dealing with unauthorised encampments, the use of surveillance cameras and public events that occur throughout the year within the Borough’s parks and open spaces. This is a physically active role which involves patrolling parks and open spaces on foot, the moving and siting of various items of heavy equipment. You will provide a reassuring presence and assistance to park users, prevent and deter anti-social behaviour.
Occasional evening and Bank Holiday working will be required, for which an allowance is paid.
Patrolling is both on foot and with use of 4x4 vehicles to move between sites as necessary. You may be required to attend at Court if and when required. You will work with other agencies such as Kent Police and the Environment Agency and you will also be involved, on occasions, with the work of other Council officers who deal with parks and open spaces, enforcement, events, licencing, town centre management and will also assist other Enforcement Officers as directed.&nbsp;
You should hold a full driving licence. Previous experience of working in a law enforcement, security, community support or similar role is desirable.&nbsp;
