Safeguarding and DOLS Team Support Worker

Job Description Job Title:&nbsp;ASB &amp; Enforcement Officer Salary: £39,027 - £44,463&nbsp;per annum Band: E Permanent&nbsp;Contract 37 Hours per Week Thurrock Council's dedication to tackling environmental crime saw its Environmental Enforcement Officers named Team of the Year at the Keep Britain Tidy National Awards in February 2020. Thurrock Council’s ASB &amp; Enforcement Team are looking to recruit an innovative and ‘can do’ ASB &amp; Enforcement Officer to deliver a wide range of enforcement activities to bring about local improvements for the communities in Thurrock.&nbsp; In this challenging role you will working collaboratively with internal and external partners to tackle Enviro-crime and Anti-Social Behaviour issues across the borough, proactively responding to a high level of customer service demand. Knowledge of Enforcement is essential including, The Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Highways Act 1988, Refuse &amp; Disposal Amenity Act 1978, Clean Neighbourhoods Environment Act 2005 and the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. To conduct investigations, experience and working knowledge of PACE 1984, CPIA 1996, RIPA 2000, and relevant codes of practice are essential. As an ASB &amp; Enforcement Officer, you will be required to have a strong commitment to improving the Borough and the ability to participate and deliver actions to make a difference. In the role you will be working closely with reputable landlords to source good quality, affordable homes for those households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homelessness. Your responsibilities will include liaising with landlord and letting agents to identify properties suitable for our clients, as well as offering properties to clients and being a single point of contact for the landlord moving forward.
You will need to be tenacious, commercially minded, and capable of negotiating with private sector landlords to secure new homes for our clients in need.

About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on senior infrastructure and security manager to lead and manage Breast Cancer Now’s IT infrastructure and security operations. This is a delivery focused role where you’ll take responsibility for building, configuring and maintaining infrastructure while also implementing and managing security governance controls. You’ll ensure our systems are resilient, secure and aligned with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and NCSC guidance. You’ll be responsible for migrating systems from on-premises to Microsoft Azure, modernising our infrastructure to ensure it is secure, scalable and cost-efficient. Alongside this transformation, you’ll manage day-to-day infrastructure and security operations across our hybrid environment. In addition, you’ll also take ownership for the delivery of key governance activities including risk assessments, audits, compliance checks, vulnerability management and cyber incident response. Working closely with the Head of IT, you’ll support the development of long-term plans while taking full ownership of technical delivery. You’ll mentor and guide engineers, but remain fully embedded in the hands-on work needed to build and maintain secure, high-quality infrastructure services.
About you
You’ll be an experienced infrastructure professional with strong hands-on expertise in designing, implementing and managing:

<li>Networking technologies (firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, virtualisation)</li>

<li>Backup, replication and disaster recovery solutions</li>

You’ll have proven experience of building infrastructure solutions end-to-end, delivering transformation projects, and maintaining secure, resilient and cost-efficient environments. Brent EPs work to a flexible model of service delivery that is rooted in consultation and the use of a wide range of tools and techniques to support our children, young people, schools, and parent/carers. We are passionate about providing every EP with a varied and stimulating range of work that makes best use of the unique skills and insights that our profession has to offer. &nbsp;
Our aim is to serve the needs of the most vulnerable children in our borough, as well as using our skills to address issues that concern larger numbers of CYP. &nbsp;We do this by targeting key issues through project work and the delivery of high-quality training to our colleagues in Brent schools and settings. &nbsp; Working with senior EPs, our dynamic team of Assistant EPs have devised and delivered a highly regarded programme of in-service training, making full use of technology, to reach as wide an audience as possible. &nbsp;We are proud of the fact that over 100 ELSAs have now been trained and are present in 60% of Brent schools; our annual ELSA conference has become the most attended education conference in the LA. &nbsp;
Our EBSA project created a Practice Framework for schools. &nbsp;Last year, the EPS set up and now leads on a multi-agency panel that makes decisions about support for children who are unable to attend school on mental health grounds. &nbsp;There is an ongoing programme of training for EBSA and other key topics, including Precision Teaching, ADHD in the Classroom and Literacy Support. &nbsp;There is dedicated EP support to our colleagues in the Brent Virtual School.&nbsp;
We work in collaboration with colleagues in the wider Inclusion Service, where the EPS sits and has a key leadership function. &nbsp; Across the service, there is a renewed commitment to develop our anti-racist and culturally sensitive practice. &nbsp;Serving a truly diverse population is one of the most rewarding elements of being an EP in Brent; we are committed to ensuring that our team reflects this diversity.

JFK Special School is looking to appoint a Curriculum Pathway Leader (CPL) to provide leadership of pupil development and achievement.&nbsp;
