<h4>The job role</h4>
Rochford District Council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to take on the challenging role of Open Spaces Operative (Grounds Maintenance).
This is an exciting opportunity for a positive and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Team. We are looking for versatility, self-motivation and a keen interest in the great outdoors.
As Open Spaces Operative (Grounds Maintenance), you will be engaged in all aspects of horticultural work including the use of tractors, heavy grass cutting machinery, tree, shrub and bedding planting, hedge cutting, renovation of sports pitches, as well as assisting in the day-to-day challenges of grounds maintenance. You will be key in providing our Parks for Nature initiative as we look to rewild our parks, planting trees and maintaining wild meadows and conservation areas.
The successful candidate will need to be able to undertake physically demanding work in all weathers and/ or seasons. The successful candidate will be customer focussed and act with utmost professionalism.
Working within Grounds Maintenance can be challenging; however, this is outweighed by the sense of pride and the self-rewarding nature of working as a part of a committed team within the great outdoors.

Open Spaces Operative (Grounds Maintenance)

An opportunity has arisen to join our licensing team as a temporary licensing and compliance officer at Uttlesford District Council. The successful candidate will be required to carry out planned and reactive inspections of licensed premises and enforcement work in relation to the taxi trade. Additional duties will include investigating breaches of legislation, presenting evidence at Licensing Panel hearings and at Court and liaising with enforcement agencies to share intelligence. There may be opportunity to support new areas of work for the service including animal licensing and special treatments. You must have experience and knowledge of enforcement and investigative procedures including use of PACE and RIPA. It would further be desirable for you to have experience and knowledge of licensing law, guidance, policy and procedure, including for and relevant to both taxis and premises under the Licensing Act 2003.Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship.

In addition, you will help to grow our business by establishing and strengthening working relationships with architects, developers as well as other existing or potential clients.

<h3>Senior Building Control Surveyor</h3>
<h3>Salary: £47,156 - £51,364 per annum, Grade I (SCP 41 - 45)</h3>
<h3>Market Supplement: £8,000 per annum (to be reviewed after 12 months)</h3>
We are looking for a team member who has a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent construction discipline and has corporate full membership of either MRICS, MCABE or MCIOB and must be registered at either Class 2 or 3 with the Building Safety Regulator .
You must be self-motivated, be able to work on own initiative and have broad experience in Building Control legislation and enforcement processes. You must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You will need to be a registered building inspector with the Building Safety Regulator, minimum class 2 category A.

This role requires a keen eye for items that can make more online than in the shop. In this role you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.
The Role: • Researching and value items • Photograph items to sell • Preparing items for dispatch to the ebay hub • Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock • Write descriptions for item listings • Greeting and helping customers • Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented
