What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

About the role
Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:
<ul>
<li>Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.</li>
<li>Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.</li>
<li>Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.</li>
</ul>
In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. As a team, we all have our strengths and individual qualities and interests, we support each other wherever possible and have a collaborative working culture. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.
About you

<li>Experience in a similar role, taking on similar responsibilities in payroll capacity</li>
<li>Experience in providing a high level of quality administration and customer support (internal or external customers)</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience using a payroll systems is desirable</li>
<li>Good understanding of HMRC requirements, including Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), statutory maternity and paternity pay</li>
<li>Experience of providing a high level of numerical administration and communications, commensurate to the level of the role</li>
<li>IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, competent knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to attend regular visits to our different service locations</li>
<li>Working knowledge and understanding of payroll, pensions and other relevant laws and external policies commensurate to the level of the role.</li>

What we’re looking for Reporting to the Director of Housing Strategy, the Head of Private Sector Licencing and Home Improvement will lead a service area that provides strategic direction for the Council’s housing improvement and assistance service and the property licensing and enforcement function. This is an area of the division with big ambition, as we have recently expanded our property licencing schemes and have seen an increase in applications from residents for support from our grants, specifically the Disabled Facilities Grant. Managing a service of up to 100 staff the post-holder will lead our ambitions to work proactively within the private rented sector to drive up standards and safety for Lewisham’s residents. With expertise in the legal framework of regulation and licensing, you’ll be at the forefront of operationalising our new licensing scheme, and will maximise their impact through innovative new approaches to engaging with our residents. You will also be responsible for utilising a home assistance grant of £2million a year to support our most vulnerable residents to live in safe and secure homes from which they can live independent lives. This role exists to ensure that appropriate performance licences are issued for children, enabling the Local Authority to meet its statutory responsibility to safeguard those employed in entertainment.By law, children working in entertainment must be supervised by licensed chaperones. About the role
Are you passionate about providing safe and stable accommodation to women and children escaping domestic abuse? Wanting to help make a difference and provide specialist support to them to gain greater independence? This might be the role for you.
As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities.&nbsp;
You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support.&nbsp;
About you
We are looking for someone who has a real passion to support families and children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will have a trauma-informed understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on families, and will be able to engage in sensitive conversations, recognising signs on trauma, and being proactive to support families to overcome this. This is a hands-on, active role, ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and passionate about working directly with families. You will be a team player, able to collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed.&nbsp;

<li>A background in working with adults and children, particularly from trauma affected backgrounds</li>
<li>Experience in supporting mothers in helping children transition to new schools</li>
<li>Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging play sessions, after school activities, and family events as well as religious and national celebrations</li>

You will be responsible for leading the process of assessing, evaluating, and managing grants as well as, working closely with our Corporate Communications and Community Engagement Teams to increase participation in the programmes.
