Vacancy Description

In this newly-created position you will be responsible for delivering nothing short of an excellent ICT strategy, along with services and digital capabilities that are clearly aligned to the business needs of our organisation.

Following a transformational change programme in Hillingdon’s ICT team, there is a clear opportunity to take the work forward, introducing effective ICT governance structures, project management methodologies and agile approaches to deliver the highest-quality services to borough residents.

The borough recognises that it is behind the curve in terms of digital delivery and now needs someone with the technical expertise and drive to create and deliver cutting-edge services.

Hillingdon takes pride in its commercial approach where individuals have the freedom to look at alternative delivery models and identifying new, emergent technology solutions.

This is a positive place in which to work with fantastic opportunities for advancement for those who can deliver upon a vision.

Degree-educated with excellent project management skills, your commercial acumen and transformational thinking will enable you to challenge the ways in which things are currently done and to come up with better solutions. You will also need outstanding communication skills to engage our Members in your vision and to play a key part at the top table.

More than half of Hillingdon's 42 square miles is a mosaic of green spaces including canals, rivers, parks and woodland.
