This vital role supports the Deputy Head of Resilience in ensuring the Council meets its statutory responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the Resilience Standards for London. You will lead on key emergency planning and business continuity projects, helping to safeguard the borough and its residents against disruption and crisis.As part of a dynamic team, you will build strong relationships across the Council and with external partners, offering expert advice and coordinating responses to incidents. You will play a central role in developing and testing emergency plans, delivering training, and managing the Emergency Response Team when required. Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a local government or public sector environment. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and health and safety management software.
