<p>We are currently recruiting for a Health Improvement Co-ordinator (Stop Smoking) to work within our Stop Smoking Service; this opportunity is currently being offered as a zero-hour contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, with high-profile activity! This is a zero-hours position to cover evening and weekend clinics.</p><p>The post holder will be required to offer specialist support to smokers wanting to quit smoking through the one-to-one service currently offered to people living or working in Medway. The Health Improvement Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating each individual quit attempt, providing behavioural support, with practical advice, social support and pharmacotherapy advice. Strategically planning support sessions for each client and working to increase their motivation are essential components of supporting a successful quit attempt and so form a crucial part of the adviser role. The post holder must be able to collect, record and maintain accurate data in line with national guidance. </p><p>It is vital that the post holder is an excellent team player and is flexible to be able to cover team member’s clinics on occasions such as annual leave or sickness absence. This role will require the post holder to be able to work regular evenings each week (generally no later than 8pm) and on weekends, according to the service needs. </p><p>The ability to drive and own a car is essential. The provision of equipment and adaptations are central to the delivery of our shared goals, as we work alongside our modern and efficient Integrated Equipment Service to achieve this.</p><p>We provide regular supervision, with access to peer support groups and encourage access to learning and service development opportunities. &nbsp;We are introducing a new CPD progression pathway to support your development as a practitioner into more senior roles.</p><p>As an integrated team we can offer opportunities of working in different ways, such as working with Children, at the Front Door and supporting service development.</p><p>It is an exciting time to join us as we look to continue to improve our integrated service offer to our residents. Currently, we are working to support new online systems which will provide more choice and options for individuals approaching the service.
