The London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth present a unique opportunity to be part of a team who work together in a ground-breaking shared staffing structure across both boroughs.

Reporting to the Senior Heating Engineer working as part of a small professional team you will manage and monitor consultants and contractors to ensure their prompt attendance to breakdowns, effective repair works are completed on time, maintenance visits and statutory inspections are carried out. Heating services for the Council’s housing stock, from individual boilers to complex communal systems, carry out surveys and assist in the resolution of problems. Confidence in using computer systems including MS Office software is essential, as is the ability to deal sensitively with residents and their representatives with the highest standard of customer care.

Must have one of the following City & Guilds / NVQ in Gas, Plumbing, or Heating or relevant experience gained within the industry. Along with Formal Training in either Gas / Heating or Plumbing. Must have Current ACS Qualification’s CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1. Also Unvented Certification G3 Unvented DHWS & Water bye-laws would be an advantage or substantial knowledge of and experience of Heating services within housing properties and estates. In the event of emergencies be prepared too work outside of normal hours.
