The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames presents a unique opportunity to be part of the award-winning Arts Service team, based at Orleans House Gallery.

We are seeking a Heritage Interpretation Apprentice for a new role which part of the £3.7m Transforming Orleans House project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The Heritage Interpretation Apprentice will support the new heritage learning programmes identified in the Activity Plan, which outlines a programme of activities designed to explore the heritage of Orleans House Gallery and the Richmond Borough Art Collection. The Apprentice will support activities with our three key target audiences of West London families, people with disabilities and older adults.
Throughout the apprenticeship you will gain responsibility in planning, managing and delivering learning programmes for a variety of audiences. The Apprentice will gain evidence of a broad experience of project work, and receive tailored training opportunities to achieve a level 3 qualification.

We are seeking a candidate with interest in working in the arts and heritage sector and who is committed to creating accessible heritage interpretation, which meet the needs of a diverse community. He/She will be a committed team player with excellent organisation, communication and partnership working skills.

The post-holder will be based at the Arts Service headquarters at Orleans House Gallery, a Grade 1 listed building overlooking the Thames, close to accessible transport routes near to Twickenham town centre.
