Role Purpose LB Tower Hamlets’ High Streets& TownCentres team is looking for a High Streets Officer with experience ofdeveloping and supporting delivery of economic development projects and a commitmentto the successful delivery of economic development and regeneration programmesthat aim to improve the performance of our town centres. Key Responsibilities •Research, develop and implement projects and initiatives for a wide range of capital and revenue high street and town centre regeneration initiatives, to realise the objectives of the Council’s high streets and town centres policy in agreed pilot areas. •Engage with and develop effective partnership relationships with community and business stakeholders in the high street regeneration pilot areas, in order to establish and review effective day to day and long term high street regeneration and management strategies and ensure that fit-for-purpose monitoring systems are designed and implemented. •Work within the Council's programme and project management methodology, including policies and procedures on financial regulations, risk management, procurement, health & safety, the management of change and communications and ensure that fit for purpose monitoring systems are design and implemented. •Provide high quality project management support to the High Streets Manager for the implementation of high street and town centre regeneration projects (including, for example, support for businesses, public realm improvements, promotion and marketing initiatives, and community engagement) to pilot the implementation of Council’s high streets and town centres policy. •To develop and deliver a programme of work using sound research, project management principals and standard project documentation in accordance with Tower Hamlets approved methodology including: business cases, Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), risk registers, procurement processes, highlight reports, and monitoring processes Requirements Thesuccessful candidate will have well developed project development and deliveryexperience, excellent partnership working skills and communication skills, anda passion for economic development in a town centre context. Previousexperience of developing and delivery economic development or town centre basedprojects is highly desirable.
