We are currently looking to recruit a Home Choice Lincs Assistant. This is a full time permanent position.
Home Choice Lincs is the sub-regional choice based lettings scheme managing the Housing Register for North Lincolnshire Council and North East Lincolnshire Council. It is a partnership of councils and housing providers which allows prospective social tenants to exercise choice over where they want to live.
North East Lincolnshire Council administers the scheme on behalf of the Partnership and the post will be based at the Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes.
The Home Choice Lincs Assistant will be required to support with administering the housing register, assessing applicants’ housing applications and needs, and assisting our customers with registering and applying for properties.
We are looking for a customer focussed and motivated individual to join our small but busy team. You must have excellent IT skills, be organised and enjoy communicating with customers, predominantly over the telephone but also by email and letter. The workload is demanding as the scheme is very popular and social housing is in high demand. Experience of working in a housing environment would be desirable. Good communication and IT skills are essential.
