This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a team driving forward a dynamic and efficient Housing service within Adur and Worthing Councils. This service includes management and maintenance of Adur Homes council housing; prevention and advice on housing options; and homeless services.

A key member of the management team reporting to the Head of Housing, you will be responsible for ensuring that services meet quality standards and provide excellent customer service.

You’ll offer primary business support to the Head of Housing and will work with colleagues across the Housing department to develop our services. You will be expected to use your analytical and programme management skills alongside your practical experience to support the delivery of strategic and operational improvements.

You will be qualified to degree level or have equivalent experience in management and leadership. You will have the proven ability to understand the effect performance and quality have on service delivery and reputation, and to capture learning points accordingly.

You must be able to communicate well with a variety of people, including customers, elected members and contractors and to plan work according to targets whilst maintaining flexibility to respond to emerging needs and issues.
