About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Homelessness, Independence and Preventative Services, Property Procurement Accommodation Service, which adopts a preventative approach across the housing, health and social care agendas. Your primary focus will be to work with private landlords and agents to acquire new properties and agree and process lease renewals with landlords who have leased their properties to the Council to meet homelessness demand.&nbsp;
You must be professional, energetic and enthusiastic as we are interested in what you can bring to help us improve and develop our services to support landlords and agents letting out their properties to some of our most vulnerable residents. About The Team You’ll Be Working In
This is an exciting and busy role that is at the centre of the Councils response to homelessness. The service is developing and progressing our agenda to reduce the use of temporary accommodation and achieve more upstream prevention outcomes.

<li>You will provide expert property advice and support service to existing and prospective private rented sector landlords within the PSL portfolio and lead on lease renewals and increase the supply of housing accommodation through acquiring properties in the private rented sector.</li>
<li>You provide a combination of customer facing contact with landlords, managing agents and residents in person, You will support landlords resolve tenancy issues while also identifying tenants at risk of homelessness. You will work collaboratively across the service and with other professionals to achieve individual outcomes for residents while supporting the shared goals of the council</li>
<li>You will be the single point of contact for Children &amp; Adult social care to help to help accommodation needs to social care cohorts and be responsible to lead on other joint partnerships to deliver financial efficiencies corporately for the Council.</li>

We have a new opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Housing Asset Team. As a Repairs Surveyor you will carry out surveys, property and disrepair inspections and oversea the delivery of sub-contracted repairs to ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Woking Borough Councils standards and timeframes.
Reporting to our Housing Repairs Manager you will carry out surveys to properties within the Woking region including Damp and Mould inspections. You will be responsible for diagnosing the cause of complex faults and failures and post inspect works supporting Woking properties to ensure that high quality works are delivered within budget, on time safely and to a high standard whilst achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction KPI’s while ensuring value for money is achieved through the delivery of effective procurement and management of repairs.
The successful candidate will be customer focused, and have great customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously to improve our property standards. An experienced and highly knowledgeable repairs surveyor.
A full driver's licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.

L&amp;Q are looking for a proven Commercial Professional for the newly created Head of Commercial within the Property Services Directorate. You will have extensive Senior Management experience. The role reports directly into the Property Services Commercial Director and will be responsible for at around 15 staff of differing experience levels.
The Head of Commercial is responsible for the leadership and strategic management of commercial, contractual and general quantity surveying issues on a project / group of Operations basis to ensure full contractual and monetary entitlement in the most advantageous terms to L&amp;Q.

You will be responsible for the management of third party contractors and suppliers to always achieve best value to a programme whilst protecting the business commercially and providing accurate financial forecasting.
The postholder will have experience in providing mitigation strategies for immediate implementation of all matters relating to contract and subcontract and will be accountable for savings for department.
You will assist the organisation to ensure the procurement needs of department are met and compliant with Procurement Act 23 and other regulations.

L&amp;Q is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join the Trust’s Fire Safety team.&nbsp;&nbsp;Reporting to the Technical Manager and working closely with the Building Safety Team, you will assist in&nbsp;the administrative support of the technical review programme of our entire property portfolio, as defined by the L&amp;Q Fire Strategy for Cladding Inspections / External Wall Systems (EWS).

Tower Hamlets Housing Option Service are looking to recruit Lead Professional Officer on a permanent contract, previously known as Housing Options Officer. Tower Hamlets is a diverse borough that has a high demand for housing and a limited supply.&nbsp;As a Lead Professional Officer you will work on the frontline to offer support and advice to people who are potentially homeless. You will help in preventing homelessness and look to offer viable options and solutions; these will include but are not limited to, planned ways of leaving home for singles and families, mediation support, private rented sector accommodation, measures to help support victims of domestic abuse. You will also provide emergency accommodation where necessary and help relieve homelessness.You will need to be able to work well under pressure and use your own initiative – you will be expected to participate in a busy duty rota and deal with members of the public.&nbsp;An empathetic and an active listener will be key in building trust with clients and managing expectations when interviewing homeless singles and families. Being an effective communicator and strong partnership working will also be essential to this role as will effectively signposting to relevant agencies and organisations for support. The role will involve you managing a caseload and applications; you will need to be able to write legally binding letters to a high standard, complete personalised housing plans and agree steps and carry out reviews with customers. You will need to also be proficient in the use of IT.To be considered for this role, ideally we would want you to have experience of working with vulnerable people and working knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.&nbsp;However, what’s more important is how you demonstrate your transferable skills for this role. About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Homelessness, Independence and Preventative Services which adopts a preventative approach across the housing, health and social care agendas. You must be professional, energetic and enthusiastic as we are interested in what you can bring to help us improve and develop our services to support some of our most vulnerable residents. We are looking for someone to work in housing allocations to allocate council properties and to provide nominations to Registered Providers.
You are highly organised to allocate permanent council accommodation and nominate to Registered Providers to ensure properties are let as soon as practicably possible. You will carry out viewings and sign-up new tenancies, taking account of individual customer needs. You provide information, advice and support with moving arrangements including advice and assistance regarding benefits and access to financial support.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In
This is an exciting and busy role in the Allocations team. The service is developing and progressing our agenda to reduce the use of temporary accommodation and achieve more upstream prevention outcomes.
1.You are a frontline professional delivering a first class, modern and flexible service to some of the most vulnerable people in the Borough. You are outcome focussed and seek to achieve successful outcomes by implementing bespoke solutions to complex problems.
2.You will carry out allocations, viewings, lettings and nominations to minimise void times, ensuring adherence to the Council’s Allocations Policy and associated procedures.
3.Ensure shortlisted applicants are verified prior to offer of nomination, in particular, relation to eligibility, priority band and date, household composition, property criteria and affordability, identifying potential fraudulent applications and assist with reviews of offers to determine whether they are suitable, preparing evidence that may be used in legal proceedings.

About You

The role provides general administrative support for the tenancy, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy support teams. As well as undertaking this the role also includes supporting the income team with the universal credit verification process.
Previous experience in a customer focused role, working with minimal direction and the ability to balance competing priorities is required. You should also be comfortable communicating with customers, colleagues, and contractors by phone and email.
Significant administration experience in a busy office environment and experience of working with IT is required.
A commitment to providing excellent customer service and continuous service improvement is essential.
