Making A Difference as A Homelessness Assessment Officer in the Housing Options and Advice Service
St Helens Council are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Homelessness Assessment Officer to join this busy service.
You will be the first point of contact for clients experiencing accommodation issues and you will be responsible for assessing their needs and deciding on the most appropriate course of action, including assisting people into temporary and permanent accommodation.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who has the ability to deal sensitively with customers and the ability to signpost correctly within the team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy and dedicated Private Sector Housing Team.&nbsp; We are a relatively large team delivering a wide range of services that integrate public and private sector partners, creating a bottom-up approach to supporting neighbourhoods offering real help where it is needed through the empty homes programme, an innovative home improvement agency, landlord enforcement, selective and HMO licensing, the Good Landlord and Agent Accreditation scheme and energy efficiency improvements.
