You will be responsible for developing the council’s long term strategic vision and approach for private sector housing - to drive up standards and energy efficiency of homes, ensuring a proactive approach to identifying and licencing houses in multiple occupation and caravan/camping sites and bringing empty homes back into use.You will also have a key role in the performance and financial management of the Councils home improvement agency contract and the delivery of disabled facilities grants.</p><p>To be successful, we are looking for a dynamic and organised individual with experience and knowledge across all aspects of the Private Sector Housing function, including formaland informal housing enforcement, houses in multiple occupation, disabled facilities grants, caravan/camping licences, empty homes and improving energy efficiency of homes. Applicants must hold a degree or master’s degree within Environmental Health.</p><p>The role also involves leading, empowering, coaching and motivating the team along with providing day to day supervision, guidance and support.
