About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Homelessness, Independence and Preventative Services, Property Procurement Accommodation Service, which adopts a preventative approach across the housing, health and social care agendas. Your primary focus will be to work with private landlords and agents to acquire new properties and agree and process lease renewals with landlords who have leased their properties to the Council to meet homelessness demand.&nbsp;

About The Team You’ll Be Working In
This is an exciting and busy role that is at the centre of the Councils response to homelessness. The service is developing and progressing our agenda to reduce the use of temporary accommodation and achieve more upstream prevention outcomes.

<li>You will provide expert property advice and support service to existing and prospective private rented sector landlords within the PSL portfolio and lead on lease renewals and increase the supply of housing accommodation through acquiring properties in the private rented sector.</li>
<li>You provide a combination of customer facing contact with landlords, managing agents and residents in person, You will support landlords resolve tenancy issues while also identifying tenants at risk of homelessness. You will work collaboratively across the service and with other professionals to achieve individual outcomes for residents while supporting the shared goals of the council</li>
<li>You will be the single point of contact for Children &amp; Adult social care to help to help accommodation needs to social care cohorts and be responsible to lead on other joint partnerships to deliver financial efficiencies corporately for the Council.</li>

Tower Hamlets Housing Option Service are looking to recruit Lead Professional Officer on a permanent contract, previously known as Housing Options Officer. Tower Hamlets is a diverse borough that has a high demand for housing and a limited supply.&nbsp;As a Lead Professional Officer you will work on the frontline to offer support and advice to people who are potentially homeless. You will help in preventing homelessness and look to offer viable options and solutions; these will include but are not limited to, planned ways of leaving home for singles and families, mediation support, private rented sector accommodation, measures to help support victims of domestic abuse. You will also provide emergency accommodation where necessary and help relieve homelessness.You will need to be able to work well under pressure and use your own initiative – you will be expected to participate in a busy duty rota and deal with members of the public.&nbsp;An empathetic and an active listener will be key in building trust with clients and managing expectations when interviewing homeless singles and families. Being an effective communicator and strong partnership working will also be essential to this role as will effectively signposting to relevant agencies and organisations for support. The role will involve you managing a caseload and applications; you will need to be able to write legally binding letters to a high standard, complete personalised housing plans and agree steps and carry out reviews with customers. About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Homelessness, Independence and Preventative Services which adopts a preventative approach across the housing, health and social care agendas. You must be professional, energetic and enthusiastic as we are interested in what you can bring to help us improve and develop our services to support some of our most vulnerable residents. We are looking for someone to work in housing allocations to allocate council properties and to provide nominations to Registered Providers.
You are highly organised to allocate permanent council accommodation and nominate to Registered Providers to ensure properties are let as soon as practicably possible. You will carry out viewings and sign-up new tenancies, taking account of individual customer needs. You provide information, advice and support with moving arrangements including advice and assistance regarding benefits and access to financial support.
You will engage with our service users via a combination of customer facing contact via telephone and email, ensuring customer records are accurate and up to date at all times. You are highly motivated to to promote our service and actively participate in developing service improvement across the Homelessness, Independence and Preventatives Services. You will work collaboratively across the service and with other professionals to achieve individual outcomes for residents while supporting the shared goals of the council.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
This is an exciting and busy role in the Allocations team. The service is developing and progressing our agenda to reduce the use of temporary accommodation and achieve more upstream prevention outcomes.
1.You are a frontline professional delivering a first class, modern and flexible service to some of the most vulnerable people in the Borough. You are outcome focussed and seek to achieve successful outcomes by implementing bespoke solutions to complex problems.
2.You will carry out allocations, viewings, lettings and nominations to minimise void times, ensuring adherence to the Council’s Allocations Policy and associated procedures.
3.Ensure shortlisted applicants are verified prior to offer of nomination, in particular, relation to eligibility, priority band and date, household composition, property criteria and affordability, identifying potential fraudulent applications and assist with reviews of offers to determine whether they are suitable, preparing evidence that may be used in legal proceedings.
4.Provide accurate information and advice on waiting times, rehousing prospects and alternative housing options, such as downsizing, mutual exchange and Seaside and Country Homes.
5.You will be working in a service that makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless or at risk of losing their housing.
6.You will work collaboratively with your colleagues and partner agencies to contribute to the effective delivery of the integrated preventative service across housing, health and social care, avoiding escalation to higher level and crisis service provision where applicable.
7.Assist with training of staff regarding the Housing Allocations process and rehousing process and support project work and new initiatives, including customer satisfaction surveys, assisting to identify and implement service improvements.
8.Work effectively in a changeable environment to achieve targets and service objectives with competing priorities, while assisting to continuously improving our service offer to residents to meet changing needs and integrate digital solutions.
9.Keep up to date with key legislation, policies and procedures, and maintain an awareness of issues that can cause legal, reputational and financial risks to the council, escalating issues so that action to mitigate or prevent risks arising can be taken, to ensure value for money service delivery.
About You
You have extensive knowledge and experience of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, working with vulnerable people, and experience of working in multi-disciplinary housing teams and work involving complex needs and diverse client groups and an expert knowledge of homelessness and associated legislation.

About The Role
The Tenant Satisfaction Improvement Team plays a vital role in ensuring landlord customer complaints are resolved promptly and in accordance with the statutory obligations set out in the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaints Handling Code.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for supporting residents throughout the complaints journey, with a particular focus on investigating Stage 2 landlord complaints and Housing Ombudsman enquiries. These cases may relate to Asset Management &amp; Repairs and Housing Management Services.
Key Objectives:

<li>Timely Investigations Ensure all allocated Stage 2 complaints and Ombudsman cases are thoroughly investigated and responded to within statutory timeframes.</li>
</ol>
2.Case Coordination Lead and coordinate case management meetings throughout the complaint lifecycle, ensuring all aspects of the complaint are addressed comprehensively.
3.Resident Engagement Maintain regular and empathetic communication with residents via telephone, written correspondence, and in-person meetings throughout the complaint process.

<li>Action Tracking Monitor and track actions arising from complaints, ensuring timely completion by relevant services. Escalate unresolved actions as necessary.</li>

About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The Tenant Satisfaction Improvement Team is committed to delivering a high-quality complaints service that supports residents and drives continuous improvement across Housing Management and Asset Management &amp; Repairs.
The team’s core aims include:
1.Comprehensive Coordination Managing 100% of Stage 2 complaints and Housing Ombudsman enquiries across Housing Management and Asset Management &amp; Repairs, ensuring timely collection of investigatory information and delivery of high-quality responses within statutory deadlines.
2.Ombudsman Compliance Monitoring all Housing Ombudsman Orders, Recommendations, and remedial actions, and ensuring timely confirmation of compliance is submitted to the Ombudsman.
3.Action Plan Oversight Maintaining and regularly updating the Complaints Action Plan to reflect outcomes and learning from resolved cases.
4.Service Improvement Tracking Collaborating with Service Leads to monitor progress on service improvement actions arising from complaints, ensuring accountability and follow-through.
This is a dynamic and collaborative team that plays a key role in shaping a responsive and resident-focused housing service.
About You
To be considered for this role you will:

<li>Have significant experience dealing with a range of complex complaints, with the ability to identify and implement suitable resolutions.</li>

Lambeth and Southwark is a small lively housing association, based near The Oval Tube Station, and working in the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. We have been established for nearly 100 years, and currently manage and own around 350 homes.&nbsp; We are looking to appoint a proactive Tenant and Community&nbsp; Engagement Officer (Part time 21 Hours a week).&nbsp; LSHA is committed to both improving the services and value for money that we offer our tenants and also create a supportive place in which to work. This role will be at the centre of our ambitions to engage with, and improve our relationship and interaction with our tenants. &nbsp;Developing Neighbourhood champions, the Tenant Group and developing our Menu of Choice, which outlines the variety of ways tenants can engage with us.&nbsp; The role will also reach out to other community agencies and services that can offer opportunities and resources for the tenants to engage to improve their individual or collective circumstances.&nbsp; There will be some evening work (mostly online / Teams) &nbsp;and very occasionally weekend work required.
