We are a forward-thinking local council, committed to providing high quality housing solutions for our residents. We have a wholly owned council housing company, Knowle Green Estates Ltd, which has a portfolio of properties. These properties provide affordable accommodation to residents. The company also owns a small number of private and keyworker properties. We also manage properties which are used as Temporary Accommodation, which assists with addressing the housing need in the borough.
You will be working as part of a dedicated team committed to delivering an excellent service and making a difference in residents’ lives.
What we’re looking for from you:

<li>A proven track record in delivery of property management and tenancy sustainment for affordable housing, with a focus on maximising income, minimising voids, and providing a high level of customer service, or a similar housing support role.</li>
<li>Good working knowledge of landlord and tenant law, health and safety, and welfare benefits.</li>
<li>Determined, self-motivated, confident in handling complex situations, and an ability to work at pace.</li>

Housing Standards Officer or Senior Housing Standards Officer
Salary £35,081 to £52,595 p.a. (dependent on experience) plus essential car user allowance
Full-time (36 hours per week, flexible working patterns will be considered in line with service requirements.
We are looking for an officer to join our busy but friendly and supportive Environmental Health team. You will work in the Residential team, and will be responsible for the licensing of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) as well as undertaking programmed and reactive inspections including compliance visits to rented properties and caravan sites, in addition to the investigation of complaints about housing conditions.
You will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated and have a positive attitude. You must be an excellent communicator and team player with sound time management skills and be confident in dealing with members of the public.&nbsp; You must be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.

We have a new opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Housing Asset Team. As a Repairs Surveyor you will carry out surveys, property and disrepair inspections and oversea the delivery of sub-contracted repairs to ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Woking Borough Councils standards and timeframes.
Reporting to our Housing Repairs Manager you will carry out surveys to properties within the Woking region including Damp and Mould inspections. You will be responsible for diagnosing the cause of complex faults and failures and post inspect works supporting Woking properties to ensure that high quality works are delivered within budget, on time safely and to a high standard whilst achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction KPI’s while ensuring value for money is achieved through the delivery of effective procurement and management of repairs.
The successful candidate will be customer focused, and have great customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously to improve our property standards. An experienced and highly knowledgeable repairs surveyor.
A full driver's licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
