Duties are to include, carrying out plan assessments for compliance with the Building Regulations, undertaking consultation with statutory bodies, issuing of decisions within statutory timescales, undertaking site inspections, completing suitable site inspection notes, assessing demolitions and dangerous structures as well as providing periodic out of hours cover on a rota basis.</p>\n<p>Applicants should have good communication skills as well as a high level of literacy and numeracy together with appropriate IT skills.  There is also a requirement for applicants to be committed to delivering a quality customer focused service in what is competitive environment. It is important that applicants have the ability to make clear and accurate decisions at short notice and under pressure.</p>\n<p>Applicants will ideally be a member of the CABE, RICS or CIOB. A current full UK driving licence and daily access to a car for business purposes are required, for which expenses and a car allowance will be paid.</p>\n<p><strong>Additional Benefits</strong></p>\n<p>We provide our inspectors a laptop, i-pad and mobile i-phone for the role.
