We have an excellent opportunity for a Housing Regulation Officer to join our Informaiton and Governance team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a permanent basis.&nbsp;
This is a strategic and collaborative position, working closely with the Council's Local Housing Companies and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, regulatory assurance, and sector-leading practice
&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Deliver a continued programme of self-assessment and improvement against the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards, including developing a gap analysis, improvement plan and monitoring framework.</li>
<li>Working on the development of a robust evidence base that demonstrates compliance with regulatory requirements, which can be presented in suitable levels of detail to a variety of stakeholders.</li>
<li>Support Service Managers in coordinating and drafting of regular reporting to Elected Members detailing performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Manage, plan, and deliver bespoke induction, legislative and complaint refresher training across the Housing Service and across other related services using mixed methods</li>
<li>Develop and implement a framework that ensures continued monitoring and analysis of wider sector performance, regulatory gradings and any changes to legislation or policy that may impact the Council’s regulatory compliance, capturing learning, risks and opportunities appropriately.</li>
<li>Act as the primary relationship manager between the Housing Service and WBC’s wholly owned local housing companies. Ensure compliance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA), including timely processing of invoices and payments. Monitor and report on service delivery standards to confirm that the services provided meet agreed expectations and contractual obligations</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with residents to gather feedback on regulatory compliance and service delivery, ensuring their voices inform improvement plans. Develop case studies and best practice examples that demonstrate how resident engagement drives continuous improvement and compliance.</li>

<li>Understanding of social housing legislation and consumer regulation, specifically within a Local Authority setting. Specifically in relation to the Social Housing Regulations Act 202</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills, able to work using your own initiative and collaborate with teammates, customers, and other professionals.</li>
<li>Highly organised, enthusiastic, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail</li>

We have an exciting opportunity for a Case Worker to join the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Service at Bracknell Forest Council, on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work closely with occupational therapists, surveyors, contractors and housing partners to coordinate housing adaptations, manage grant applications, analyse tenders and ensure works are completed to specification. Using your working knowledge of housing adaptations and relevant legislation, you will maintain accurate records, attend site visits and assist in preparing technical documentation.
The role combines technical awareness, administrative support and excellent customer service, requiring strong organisational skills and attention to detail. It is ideal for someone with experience in housing, construction and social care settings, looking to make a direct impact in the community.

<h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>

<li>To undertake all required activities in support of the functions of the DFG service, these include requests from residents and referrals from occupational therapists for mandatory and discretionary grants.</li>
<li>To provide administrative assistance and support as required, including maintaining all appropriate records, preparing reports, letters, attendance at meetings, minute taking, organising meetings etc.</li>
<li>To utilise appropriate IT packages to record, update, collate, analyse and present information and data.</li>
<li>To establish, monitor and maintain accurate information and appropriate control systems.</li>
<li>To check final accounts and defects liability and advise clients on payment as appropriate.</li>
<li>To deal with correspondence and enquiries from clients, contractors, colleagues and/or their representatives.</li>
