New OneTeam Emergency Planning and Business Continuity plans and processes have been developed to support these teams in their response to an emergency or disruption to their services.\nThe key task for the post holder will be to develop and embed the new plans and processes including implementing a programme of training and exercises that has been drafted to support this. A significant aspect of the training programme will be the development of the Council[s] newly appointed Emergency Response Officers and the ongoing investment in this new group of Officers.\nAs a seasoned Business Continuity professional you will be expected to review the Service Business Continuity Plans on a rolling yearly and will work with the service Corporate Managers to ensure plans are kept current and relevant.\nYou will also be expected to work with partners in relation to specific risks and as part of the multi-agency work of the Essex Resilience Forum.\nThe post has responsibility for ensuring relevant information is provided to support the Council[s] out of hours service, in particular that process amps and contact details are kept up to date and relevant. You will work with the Corporate Managers to ensure that correct information is available to enable the effective delivery of the out of hours service.\nWe are seeking an experienced Emergency Planning Officer with a working knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act and a good understanding of the part Local Authorities play in the response to a major incident.
