About you…

<li>Experience in a Learning &amp; Development role, working as part of a team to deliver Human Resources &amp; Organisation Development Services.</li>
<li>Experience of designing and delivering training and briefings to groups of staff, and commissioning training.</li>
<li>Up to date understanding of apprenticeships.</li>
<li>Experience of working in a customer focused service with a track record of consistent delivery and achievement of plans</li>
<li>Experience of working with an HR or Learning Management System.</li>
</ul>

<li>Able to work on your own initiative.</li>

About the role…
Reporting to the Head of HR and OD, you will lead the implementation of the Council’s corporate learning &amp; development approach, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our Workforce Strategy.
<ul>
<li>Work closely with our services and the HR&amp;OD team, you will support the delivery of high-quality learning &amp; development services, that drives organisational improvement.</li>
<li>Build relationships with schools and colleges to promote local government as a career. Develop a Talent Academy to support entry-level apprentices and wider learning sets.</li>
</ul>
The Learning &amp; Development Advisor interviews will be held on 22 July 2025.

 We are excited to announce an opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our Central Services HR team.
Whilst the primary location for this role will be based at Alsager High School, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience an interesting and varied role, applying HR principles and practices across all schools within our trust. The requirement to travel to various locations is therefore essential for this role.
 We are extremely proud of the schools within our trust, and we are looking for a colleague who will continue to build productive relationships within our community of local schools. You will be part of a dedicated team of staff who are focused on delivering our core values, supported by our headteachers and local governing bodies.
 The Cornovii Trust consists of 7 local schools: Alsager Highfields Primary; Alsager School; Audlem St. James CofE Primary; Brine Leas School; Pear Tree Primary; Stapeley Broad Lane CofE Primary and Weston Village Primary.
 Our Headteachers and Local Governing Bodies lead the schools. Are you an experienced and competent Administrator looking to work in HR?
We are a friendly, small, flexible and busy generalist HR team looking to recruit a Human Resources Assistant for an initial period of up to 12 months with a possible extension.
You will act as the first point of contact for internal and external customers and partners, providing an effective and efficient HR and Learning &amp; Development administration service.&nbsp; Using our policies and procedures you will promote best practice by providing staff and managers with timely, consistent and up to date guidance on anything from annual leave and pay to sickness absence management and maternity leave.&nbsp;
You will be responsible for the co-ordination of multiple end-to-end recruitment campaigns, issuing employment contracts and processing all the new starter documentation including setting starters up on the payroll system.&nbsp; You will also support users on the self-service module of the payroll system and produce monthly management information.&nbsp; Therefore, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines and work in a confidential manner are essential.
Other main duties and responsibilities include:

<li>Handling and dealing with sensitive information</li>
<li>Payroll administration, working closely with the Payroll Officer and payroll provider</li>
<li>Performance appraisal and performance management administration</li>
<li>Assisting the Learning &amp; Development Officer to organise workshops, training sessions and events</li>
<li>Assisting the HR Business Partners with absence management and employee welfare</li>
<li>Providing valuable administration support during organisational change projects</li>
</ul>
Ideally you will already have an interest or some experience working in HR and a willingness and ability to develop your knowledge. You will need to be a competent administrator and be able to demonstrate your Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams at intermediate level.&nbsp;
Highly organised, with the proven ability to plan and prioritise your own workload, you will also have excellent communication and customer service skills, a proactive and flexible approach and the ability to manage a varied and rapidly changing workload.&nbsp; Recent and relevant experience of working in a fast-paced HR environment and a working knowledge of recent HR legislation and best practice are desirable but not essential.
