This transformation is taking place whilst effectively maintaining the on-going delivery of high quality ICT services and digital capabilities enabling us to continue providing excellent services to our Residents. These are exciting times for ICT in Hillingdon and we are looking to fill a number of posts that can lead and embed these changes. About the job As the Web Developer, you will be responsible for configuration and maintenance of Council websites and web applications. You will develop the website's functional specification and overall design in line with the Council's branding policy and overall resident communication and engagement strategy. You will be working in Agile sprints, collaborating with colleagues across different work streams, creating or using open source software and APIs, and supporting legacy Applications. About the person As a Web Developer, you will have: - Demonstrable and extensive experience in UX, UI, cross-browser development, general web functions, standards, web applications, web services using a variety of web languages including HTML,CSS and Javascript. - The ability to develop the website's functional specification and overall design in line with the Council's branding policy and overall resident communication and engagement strategy. - The ability to design or re-design the visual layout and content structure of the web pages and develop the technical design of the website, related applications and services to ensure optimal performance and technical integrity. - Experience of working to the user experience to develop web applications Additional information Disability Confident Employer & Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy
