This is a fixed term / secondment opportunity for one year. We are looking for a committed self-starter to work as part of a small team to support the council in delivering a robust Records Management function for the Council. The role will be crucial in helping the council prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The priorities are: 1. To support the council in delivering and embedding its records management approach and information architecture principles. 2. To support Information Asset Owners in understanding how to identify, manage and control risks associated with their information. 3. To develop strong relationships across the Council and negotiate effectively to ensure work is delivered to timescales. 4. To lead on the delivery of key work packages to help the council prepare for GDPR. The role is part of the Information Governance and Business Support Team in Resources and reports to the Information Compliance Manager.
