Information Services Assistant

Salary Scale 2/3 £14,763.74 - £16,731.30

(It is usual for new appointees to commence at the bottom of the scale with progression on an annual incremental basis)

Doncaster College is looking to supplement its busy Information Services team with an experienced Information Services Assistant to provide first line support to staff and students through the Service Desk and information points.

End to end management of Incidents and Service Requests reported by the customer, achieving first time fix where possible. Escalating and liaising with other resolver teams / 3rd parties as required in order to resolve issues within the defined SLA.

  • Single point of contact between our customers and IT Services
  • Manage Incidents and Service Requests
  • Receive and record all calls from our customers
  • Provide initial assessment of all Incidents, attempt first time resolution, provide workarounds and /or escalation
  • Monitor and escalate Incidents according to the customer's SLA
  • Keep users informed on status and progress of their Incidents
  • Produce Management Reports
  • Aid customer retention and satisfaction

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a level 2 qualification or equivalent in both Maths and English or be willing to work to achieve this in a specified timeframe and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office systems including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
