The Council plays a leading role in a number of local partnerships and places great emphasis on engaging effectively with its residents, listening to local voices and making their message heard across London Government.</p><p><strong>About the Service and Team</strong></p><p>Our web team currently consists of a Product Manager, Content Designers, UX Designer, User Researcher, Service Designer and three Web Administrators. We manage all areas of the Kingston and Sutton council websites.</p><p>We have made great strides in implementing GA4 and establishing an Analytics function in the Digital team, and we are now looking for a permanent member of staff to join our friendly team and to grow and manage this function.</p><p><strong>About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate</strong></p><p>Kingston and Sutton Digital team are looking for a senior analyst who will sit within the Web Team, taking a lead on the implementation and spearheading the wider use of digital data across the councils. </p><p>This individual will be responsible for helping use data to understand the journey of the customer and the role that digital plays in the user experience. They will be adept and understanding user journeys and should have experience in communicating insights from data to promote actionable changes to product and service teams.</p><p>The main scope of this role is to manage the technical aspects of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and other web tracking based technologies. This role will also be required to work with various teams to understand this data and use it to generate actionable insights within the council.</p><p><strong>Your Approach</strong></p><ul>\n<li>You’ll use experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager to lead by defining strategy, planning, building, quality testing and deploying digital analytics implementations across both Kingston and Sutton councils websites.</li>\n<li>You’ll lead on and proactively ensure that all data collection is compliant with the principles set out by the data protection teams and with GDPR.</li>\n<li>You’ll instruct teams to establish KPIs, measure impact, and report on performance.</li>\n<li>You'll show a passion for getting things done and being persistent in pushing through the best practices in data for a wide range of teams.</li>\n<li>You’ll push service areas to present outputs of analysis and insight that will empower these areas to solve problems.</li>\n<li>You’ll demonstrate a proactive mindset to identify opportunities for different service areas using the council’s data.</li>\n<li>You’ll be an effective visual and oral communication by using data to sell a compelling story to stakeholders (e.g. presentations, building dashboards), as well as being a good listener able to interpret needs of service areas.</li>\n</ul><p><strong>Our Ideal Candidate</strong></p><ul>\n<li>Someone who questions and challenges ways of working, with experience in showing how data can be used to inform change.</li>\n<li>Someone who can lead on projects, and take responsibility for the web analytics stack across both councils.</li>\n<li>Comfortability with being a lone subject matter expert for Google Analytics and Web Analytics, while working with other analysts from different data disciplines.</li>\n<li>Teaching and mentoring other members of staff around Google Analytics and web analytics.</li>\n<li>Someone who can demonstrate agility and adaptability in mindset and ways of working.</li>\n<li>Previous experience in a government or charity sector.</li>\n<li>An ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.</li>\n<li>High attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Someone who can work with and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.</li>\n<li>Someone who can support Kingston and Sutton’s commitments to community cohesion and valuing diversity and social inclusion.</li>\n</ul><p><strong>Our Offer to You</strong></p><p>As an organisation that values and nurtures talent, we’re committed to helping you fulfil your potential and will offer you a supportive, friendly and collaborative environment to grow and develop your career and skills.
