The Data Officer will be a key member of the Education sub-team that will have responsibility for Synergy and other education IT systems. The RoleThis role principally involves supporting the Education Service and users of the education IT systems, notably Synergy but also including SSE, ranging from team admin duties to meeting the requirements of business users and statutory duties. This role includes supporting good recording practice, correcting erroneous data on the database, solving data recording problems across the department and identifying areas of consistent errors which could benefit from user training. Responsibilities will include:<ul>
<li>Provide support to the Education Systems Support Team to ensure that all solutions are configured to meet business needs, provide application support, advice and guidance to system users and owners to promote efficient, effective and accurate recording and ensure that system changes and upgrades are managed</li>
<li>Provide data dependent application advice and guidance to Education system users</li>
<li>Be trained in the Synergy system and will use communication skills to transfer knowledge to Synergy system users</li>
<li>Investigate and provide resolution for issues or assigning to the correct department/3rd party.</li>
<li>Support education staff to record data and information. </li>
<li>Correct data and identify patterns in the errors to enable improved practice or guidance. </li>
<li>General administrative support and other duties that may be required.</li>
<li>Support the safeguarding of children by highlighting anomalies in the data. </li>
</ul>Attendance requirements to the designated workplace for the role in line with the Hybrid Working -You will be required to work a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.The ideal candidate will have :<ul>
<li>Knowledge of the CFE directorate's education business practices</li>
<li>Knowledge of Synergy business processes and data</li>
<li>Report writing skills</li>
<li>Good communication skills with the ability work with a variety of professionals and senior managers in schools, local authority services, and other organisations</li>
<li>Accurate recording of data with attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work in a team, making a valuable contribution and committed to team success</li>
<li>Ability to prioritise workloads</li>
<li>Ability to identify common errors and rectify </li>

About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Developer Analyst to join its Customer and Digital Services team, supporting the technology requirements across the Council providing a technical, professional and customer focused service. The role will suit someone who has a background in application development and support, and analytical skills.
As a Developer Analyst you will work with colleagues to deliver digital solutions on our chosen platforms. This will include the design and build of business processes and online forms to deliver a consistent and excellent user experience, the support and maintenance of existing in-house and third-party systems and the implementation of integrations between applications, along with general database administration. You will also advise colleagues on how processes can be optimised using digital technology and assist in the migration of systems to new solutions, working closely with external suppliers.
About you:
To succeed as Developer Analyst, you will have the skills to deliver a range of dynamic solutions, and the drive to investigate and resolve technical challenges. You will have held a similar Developer Analyst or Application Support role, dealing with a broad range of business applications, online forms development and integrating systems using APIs and SFTP.&nbsp;&nbsp;You will have experience of database administration (ideally SQL Server) and an understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and applications, including Software as a Service. Keeping pace with changes in technology is a key element of the role.
