<p>Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a skilled Data Protection and Information Security Officer to support the development and implementation of Information Security policies. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the Council’s compliance with relevant legislation, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR.</p>
<p>As part of the ICT team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing data protection requests, conducting risk assessments, and supporting incident response procedures. They will also provide expert advice to departments, lead training initiatives, and contribute to the Council’s overall information governance strategy.</p>
<p>We are looking for a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of data protection laws, and experience in information security practices. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in public service while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.</p>
