IT Programme Manager – 18 Month Fixed Term Contract
We have an excellent opportunity available for an IT Programme Manager to join our proactive IT Programs team at Wokingham Borough Council on a full time, 18-month fixed term contract
As one of the IT Programme Management team, you will play a key role in delivering our Waste IT services, and planning and enforcement improvement program. As part of the Waste Program, you will be responsible for delivering the IT systems and services, as well as driving and ensuring the migrations and integrations that will ensure IT platforms and vendor platforms communicate effectively with WBC infrastructure and can deliver the required Waste Services to our residents.
In addition, you will advise on best practice systems and IT to ensure our current planning and enforcement solution is current, optimal and future proofed and then drive the identified opportunities to fruition.

Key responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the daily delivery of IT components of the Waste Re-Servicing transformation program working alongside the Waste re-servicing Program Manager and Netcall CX Upgrade Program Manager with collaboration across Council Directorates as required.</li>
<li>Responsible for the Programme&nbsp;Governance and subsequent delivery of the&nbsp;Planning and Enforcement improvement program&nbsp;with collaboration across Council Directorates.</li>
<li>Responsible for Sourcing and full life cycle delivery of the Pl&nbsp;Planning and enforcement improvement program.</li>
<li>Responsible for coordination of all IT related activities required to support the delivery of the Waste Re-Servicing transformation program working closely with the Waste Service Lead, Customer Services Lead, Waste and Technology, Business Change Managers, PMO and Project Managers to ensure successful implementation and impact management.</li>
<li>Accountable for the tracking of Programme level related risks across the Council with appropriate escalation and facilitation of risk and assurance sessions with senior leaders to understand potential issues, seek mitigations and provide successful delivery of services.</li>

Candidate requirements
<ul>
<li>Relevant Programme and Project Management qualification or skills and experience (MSP or similar).</li>
<li>Educated to degree level (or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and aptitude).</li>
<li>Proven ability in managing projects, other managers and staff to achieve agreed outputs, within budget, including benefit realization.</li>
<li>Experience working with and alongside technical teams including managing technical projects</li>
<li>Proven experience and evidence of working in multiple technical &amp; analytical disciplines (data, system &amp; workflow improvements, portals)</li>
