Royal Pavilion & Museums is part of Arts Council England’s Major Partner Museum programme 2015-18. MuseumLab, based at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, is one of our flagship MPM projects, a hub for innovative and participatory engagement with the collections. Due to the secondment of the current post-holder, we are looking for a Keeper of MuseumLab until the close of the current funding round end-March 2018.

Part Time - 3 days per week. Above salary range will be pro rated for part time hours.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can deliver imaginative and strategic leadership for this project which needs to address collections care, documentation and digitisation targets as well as opportunities for a wide range of visitors to get up close to objects, become involved, and contribute to our knowledge and understanding of RPM's collections. They will need excellent communication skills, demonstrable commitment to developing access to museum collections, and the ability to work with a wide range of colleagues within the organisation and external partners. The successful candidate will combine substantial experience of museum work, including public engagement, with project management skills and the ability to organise, motivate and develop teams.
