We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Information Governance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the council meets its statutory obligations around data protection, freedom of information, and records management.
You will be responsible for supporting compliance with legislation such as the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and Freedom of Information Act, while promoting best practice in information governance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Determination of the lawfulness of certain provisions of LPAs and the severance of unlawful parts; 2. Removal of attorneys appointed on the ground they are not acting in accordance with their MCA obligations; and 3. Removal of non-compliant deputies. (2) to provide legal advice across the organisation on a wide range of matters including policy, investigations, complaints and where litigation is threatened/brought against OPG. Duties and Responsibilities The post holder will be an experienced Paralegal who is confident and capable of working on complex cases and carrying out certain legal tasks independently. Surrey Heath Borough Council is looking to recruit a Senior Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the Legal Services team based in Camberley. The role is suitable for a commercial property solicitor or Legal Executive with over 4 years PQE.
Over the last nine years, the Council has acquired a commercial property investment portfolio of significant financial and community value in order to increase income to help maintain services and to further its regeneration plans for the borough. The Council owns a range of properties including a shopping centre, various industrial estates, business parks and office buildings as well as its operational buildings and other land.
The work will involve a wide range of non-contentious matters, focusing on landlord and tenant work relating to the retail property portfolio, but will also include advising on other types of commercial property matters, proposed development sites and other Council matters as appropriate.
The Council is looking for a candidate who can progress property transactions, working collaboratively with the Council’s property team and with minimal supervision and has the confidence to tackle a variety of other matters. About the Role
Join a dynamic legal team at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious and forward-thinking regional authorities. The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Lawyer to help shape the future of our city region through high-impact legal work.
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has made a significant contribution to the Liverpool City Region since being created in 2014 and becoming a Mayoral Combined Authority in 2017; and we continue to grow at a rapid rate with further powers expected to be devolved to the Authority in the near future. By using the devolved powers we have, we can make a real and meaningful difference to the lives of the people living, working and visiting the Liverpool City Region.
With increasing powers comes an increasing demand on the integral enabling services of the Combined Authority, and none less so than on Legal Services. This role focuses primarily on commercial contracts and public procurement, supporting a wide range of organisational activities and strategic projects.&nbsp; Experience of construction and projects law may be advantageous, but the role involves drafting and advising a wide range of commercial contracts including funding, marketing and IT agreements.
You’ll contribute to high-profile, multi-million-pound initiatives across transport, infrastructure, and decarbonisation, including:
Rail Operations

<li>-Merseyrail Concession Agreement - Managing the region’s rail network through a long-term operating contract.</li>
<li>-Rolling Stock Project – Introducing a new fleet of Class 777 trains</li>
<li>-Train Connectivity and Information Systems Project – Implementing a system enabling real-time communication between trains and the control room</li>

Casual Class Instructor 
An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for us to recruit Group Exercise Instructors to help support our six Leisure Centres Class Programme.
We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our pool of ‘casual’ Group Exercise Instructors to teach our popular classes at Bootle Leisure Centre, Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Dunes Splash World, Litherland Sports Park, Meadows Leisure Centre and Netherton Activity Centre.
Required and desired classes include:
Les Mills - BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyBalance, Indoor Group Cycling, Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Aqua and HIIT/Bootcamp, along with many others. A relevant industry/activity qualification appropriate for the class undertaken is essential.
