The officers will proactively monitor the Council’s expanding network of public realm and premises CCTV cameras, respond to Emergency Help Point activations, respond to fire and intruder alarm activations in Council buildings, monitor lone workers, provide call handling for the Council’s emergency duty social care teams outside of office hours and act as single point of out-of-hours contact for the Council for public safety matters and activation of the Council’s Emergency Plans. Officers will also deploy to public safety incidents; proactively and reactively attend anti-social behaviour and crime locations, including deployment of a CCTV van; audit Public Rescue Equipment and water safety signage and provide a security presence at Council meetings. Officers have an engagement role supporting local communities as a visible presence providing reassurance, advice and guidance.</p>\n<p>Officers will work closely with internal colleagues and external partners including Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service and HM Coastguard.</p>\n<p>Officers are required to be both Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licenced for Public Space Surveillance (CCTV operation) and Security Guarding/Door Supervisor. Training will be provided if applicants do not have this and is an essential part of the role.
