Property and Assets Manager
Location: Banbury
Salary: £68,930.00 - £73,320.50 per annum
Contractual hours: 37

The Job:
We are looking for an outstanding candidate to lead and manage the operational delivery of the Property and Assets service. This role will be key to identifying opportunities for the most effective, efficient, and commercial approach to property asset management.
You will lead, manage and deliver excellent value for money from the council’s property asset portfolios and provide an outstanding property service to internal and external customers. You will ensure that the council’s assets and facilities enable the delivery of the council’s wider services and objectives. You will have excellent experience in preparing high quality business cases and evaluations to inform decision-making relating to the council’s property portfolio, whilst taking full responsibility for substantial capital and revenue income and expenditure budgets.
The Person:
You will be educated to degree level, have membership of a relevant professional body (ideally RICS) and substantial experience of leading a Property and Asset team with multiple sites.
You will have proven ability to deliver complex, challenging and politically sensitive change. You will have exceptionally strong interpersonal skills and &nbsp;the ability to develop constructive relationships with stakeholders will be essential. With the ability to influence and persuade others you will be both motivational and resilient in your leadership style.

About the roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join North Northamptonshire Council as a waste Collection Operative (Refuse &amp; Recycling Loader) within the Waste Department. The successful candidate will be based at our Wellingborough or Kettering Depots (you can choose which one you want to work at) and have the opportunity to be part of a front line team providing a vital service to local residents.We have part time and full time positions available enabling you to work around other commitments.You will work with other team members over various routes that will change daily.You will need to be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be able to walk up to 12 miles a day.You will need to be polite to customers and other members of the public who you will come into contact with.Have a understanding of treating all staff and customers respectfully.An initial screening interview of 5 minutes will take place via Teams. What will you be doing?You will be responsible for collection of waste from residential &amp; commercial properties ensuring that we give our residents the best possible service at all times.Assisting with missed bins at the end of the dayWork in a safe manner and assist driver with reversing when required.You could be working outside in all weathers providing this essential service.There will be an element of vehicle cleaning and light maintenance as we always ensure our vehicles are in excellent condition.Clearing up any spillages that occur during the day.Assist with daily and weekly checks.Wear appropriate uniform and protective clothing.To report all incidents and near misses as they occur. The role involves some customer service dealing with the public and answering their queries.About youYou will be physically fit as the role can be quite demanding and you may have to walk up to 12 miles a day.You should enjoy working outside with a small team as the crews are self-driven having to work with their own initiative.
