We are looking to appoint an Estates Surveyor to join Pendle Council’s Property &amp; Engineering Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide a professional valuation and surveying service and support managing a diverse range of council-owned land and properties.
The Role

<li>Undertake valuations, disposals, and acquisitions of land and property in line with the Council’s objectives.</li>
<li>Manage Council-owned industrial estates, shops, offices, and commercial premises, ensuring effective marketing and maximum revenue generation.</li>
<li>Advise on a variety of commercial property-related matters, including preparing Committee reports and providing guidance to Elected Members.</li>

About You

<li>You must be a Chartered Surveyor with current membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and be a Registered Valuer.</li>

<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital, along with the ability to plan, organise, and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Experience in working effectively within a political environment or familiarity with CPO and Landlord &amp; Tenant legislation is desirable.</li>

This is a new and exciting opportunity within SIG to take the lead on delivering the strategic expansion of our services. You will assess our current criminal justice services and ensure our new services align well to the success of our current services, leading and coordinating the end-to-end planning and implementation, leading on:

<li>Ensuring the process of mobilisation aligns with strategic objectives and contributes to long-term organisational growth and service excellence.</li>
<li>Oversight and coordination multiple interrelated projects, including but not limited to property mobilisation, decamp of existing services, building renovations, staffing, and service readiness.</li>
<li>Development and maintenance of a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk registers.</li>
<li>Monitoring and management of project related risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.</li>

We're looking for an experienced project manager with experience and knowledge of the criminal justice system and the services within it. You will be a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage the set up and running of new services. You will have an understanding of what we stand for as a charity and have alignment to help us meet our mission and objectives. We are looking for someone with:

<li>Proven experience in project/programme management, ideally in public sector or voluntary sector</li>
