Job Title:&nbsp;Project Manager
Location:&nbsp;Predominantly London based, working across multiple sites in the inner and outer London area. This role includes on site visits, including to some services which may not have step free access. There is also work from home available.
Salary:&nbsp;£55,000

About the role
This is a new and exciting opportunity within SIG to take the lead on delivering the strategic expansion of our services. You will assess our current criminal justice services and ensure our new services align well to the success of our current services, leading and coordinating the end-to-end planning and implementation, leading on:
<ul>
<li>Ensuring the process of mobilisation aligns with strategic objectives and contributes to long-term organisational growth and service excellence.</li>
<li>Oversight and coordination multiple interrelated projects, including but not limited to property mobilisation, decamp of existing services, building renovations, staffing, and service readiness.</li>
<li>Development and maintenance of a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk registers.</li>
<li>Monitoring and management of project related risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.</li>
<li>Management of the agreed organisational staffing design plan to achieve adequate and safe staffing teams to deliver contract specifications.</li>
<li>Decision making for staffing choices, consultation outcomes, hiring decisions, and other areas in relation to staffing for the new services</li>
</ul>
About you
We're looking for an experienced project manager with experience and knowledge of the criminal justice system and the services within it. You will be a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage the set up and running of new services. You will have an understanding of what we stand for as a charity and have alignment to help us meet our mission and objectives. We are looking for someone with:

<li>Proven experience in project/programme management, ideally in public sector or voluntary sector</li>
<li>Proven experience in delivering complex, multi-site projects which involve property, service mobilisation, and stakeholder engagement</li>
<li>Previous experience and a good understanding of Criminal Justice Services</li>
<li>Ability to manage projects from planning, execution, and oversight of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget</li>
<li>Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment, without compromising on deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to encourage positive outcomes</li>
<li>Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and compliance in a residential or criminal justice service environment</li>
<li>Proactiveness in making decisions to deal with challenges and providing a solution focused approach using initiative</li>

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive&nbsp;Senior Programme Management Officer&nbsp;to lead the Programme Management Office for our Health and Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) team. This is a high-impact role that calls for a sharp eye for detail, strong leadership, and a passion for driving results in a complex, fast-paced environment. Working with&nbsp;multiple stakeholders internal and external.
While each team has its distinct focus, your oversight will ensure smooth programme delivery and unlock opportunities for strategic cross-team collaboration between Health and UFSM.
Your role will be to provide project oversight and forward planning for the Team’s corporate responsibilities, including corporate performance reporting and other corporate returns and briefings, working closely with the Senior Managers and with the Business Support team.
This role offers the opportunity to shape delivery on a programme that directly supports the wellbeing of Londoners. If you are an experienced programme manager with excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and quality, experienced in PMO systems and leading teams – we want to hear from you.
<h2>What your day will look like</h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead the PMO functions across the health and UFSM teams, embedding governance, assurance and planning across key workstreams.</li>
<li>Provide project oversight and forward planning working in an agile and flexible way</li>
<li>Ensure effective delivery and reporting across a high-profile programme portfolios.</li>
<li>Prepare clear and concise programme reports, dashboards and agendas.</li>
<li>Work closely with Finance, Governance, Legal and policy teams to ensure compliance with GLA policies and frameworks.</li>
<li>Support risk management, forward planning and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the GLA, local government, and partners.</li>

 Skills, knowledge and experience</h2>
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
<ul>
<li>An understanding of the issues associated with working in a complex political environments</li>
<li>Proven experience managing large-scale programmes with multiple projects and partners, including risk management.</li>
<li>Experience of delivering effective monitoring processes/systems as well as experience of managing budgets and corporate reporting.</li>
<li>Critical thinking, analytical and written skills, experience of analysing data from multiple sources and demonstrable ability to utilise these to assess, interpret, and present ideas, data, and information.</li>
<li>Substantial experience of co-ordinating work across a number of stakeholders and building and managing relationships in a partnership environment across a wide range of sectors especially the public sector.</li>
<li>Experience of managing teams.</li>
<li>Understanding of the Universal free school meals programme is desirable.</li>
</ul>

The post holder will be accountable for the strategic management of complex contracts and procurement processes that drive the GLA’s and Programme’s goals, ensuring a focus on delivering value for money and enhancing outcomes for Londoners. They will ensure integration between the GLA Group Clean Power Commercial Programme and other related programmes and strategies, accelerates the purchasing of clean power, solar panel installations on buildings, heat pumps roll out and buildings retrofit among public sector organisations across London.&nbsp; They will provide commercial expertise to ensure this programme is delivered to high standard, provide guidance and support, engage with key stakeholders, and work closely with senior leadership and the Mayor’s Office to deliver the Mayor’s ambitions.

This role is crucial for the successful delivery and compliance of&nbsp;Connect to Work DWP funded programmes. You will establish and maintain robust programme management systems, ensuring adherence to CLF, DWP, and audit requirements, and managing all risks associated with grant-funded initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement a robust compliance framework for grant-funded programmes.
- Lead the development and maintenance of performance management, monitoring, and reporting frameworks.
- Oversee effective programme management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of grant-funded programmes, particularly&nbsp;Connect to Work.
- Conduct monitoring, verification, and assurance visits to ensure programme compliance, value for money, and alignment with Council priorities.
We are looking for someone with:
- A proven track record of leadership in managing large-scale, complex grant-funded programmes with multiple partners, specifically with experience in compliance for DWP-funded initiatives like&nbsp;Connect to Work.
- Demonstrable experience in performance management, developing challenging outcomes, and negotiating goal
- Expertise in developing and sustaining successful partnerships across public and private sectors.
- Highly organised programme management skills, including meticulous management of delivery and financial programmes.
