Can you help us deliver fantastic campaigns that make a difference to Medway residents, stakeholders and the local community? We are looking for a talented Marketing Officer to join our busy and expanding Communications and Marketing Team.Your role will focus on implementing a range of marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives that will promote the work of Medway Council’s Regeneration, Culture and Environment (RCE) Directorate. This will include supporting on a number of portfolios within this Directorate, which could include Regeneration, Town Centres, Heritage, Business and Local Economy, Sport, Frontline Services and other areas. You will have a passion for public-sector communications, confident in engaging with residents, stakeholders, and the community every day to achieve specific service and policy objectives in-line with the council’s brand guidelines. You will have experience in managing a busy workload, able to adapt to deliver against proactive and reactive communications and marketing requirements for the RCE Directorate. Supporting the Marketing Manager, you will run community-focused communications and marketing activities including developing engaging materials and approaches, supporting, organising and promoting engagement activities, consultations and events, and developing relationships with external organisations and groups. We are seeking a Marketing Officer to join the team at level A. This is the entry point of the role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate the relevant knowledge, experience and skills to get you started, but you will be supported to develop in your role through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation. All elements of level A listed within the person specification are essential. Through your induction you will be introduced to the Career Progression Framework (CPF), which will help you to identify your areas of strength and any development needs.
