Relief LGV DriverEnvironmental ServicesRelief contract working 6.00am – 2.00pmSalary NS7 £27,711 - £29,093 per annumPay Award Pending*We are now recruiting for a Relief LGV Driver to help deliver all waste services to homes across the district including general waste collection, recycling, garden and trade waste along with the new glass recycling service.You will drive and have responsibility for any of the Council’s heavy goods and light goods vehicles including refuse collection, recycling or road sweeping. Ensuring that the vehicles are kept clean and in good working order at all times meet the standards set down in law with respect to legal vehicle operation is essential.The position will entail working unsociable hours in all weathers. This relief role is required on an as, and when, basis.You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided. The post-holder will develop intelligence, gather evidence in support of prosecutions, and undertake the restraint and confiscation of criminal assets as directed by the Head of Department.Overview of the role:<ul><li>You will be responsible for the financial investigation of suspects in order to identify, restrain and confiscate criminally obtained assets, including the seizure of cash and subsequent forfeiture procedures.</li><li>You will disseminate intelligence in the appropriate manner, to relevant organisations, departments and/or individuals, whilst maintaining the required confidentiality, sensitivity and duty of care.</li><li>You will evaluate information to support action – evaluate and assess the value of information identifying relevant patterns and trends.
