West Berkshire is seeking to recruit NQSWs who wish to go into front line social work and join our Newly Qualified Social Work Programme.

The Social Work Academy will help NQSWs to become confident and capable social work professionals. We have created a virtual ‘Academy’ to provide an opportunity to develop your skills and competencies in a supportive and creative environment. It gives you the chance to be a NQSW and have time to reflect on your practice and learn from it. You will have opportunities for classroom, e-learning and action learning as well as shadowing and peer-to-peer support. In line with the ASYE guidance you will have a reduced caseload, protected time for professional development and enhanced supervision and training; in addition you will have the opportunity to see cases through from start to finish. You will be supported to do this by an experienced manager, a practice educator and you will attend a Bucks New University ASYE module. This support will give you the best start to your social work career.
