We serve a diverse urban and rural community in the heart of Surrey. Borough Councillors and officers work on devolved issues such as parks, leisure, older residents services, youth services, street scene, refuse collection, planning, social housing, homelessness and aspects of business and tourism. We own and operate significant heritage assets that include monuments such as Guildford Castle, as well museums, art collections and civic regalia. We also deliver a significant capital investment programme to renew and improve the Borough through best use of our assets. We are developing an entrepreneurial approach to delivering an innovative income generation model to sustain future services. Our financial plans for the coming years have recently been reviewed by Moody’s who gave us a credit rating of Aa1.

New ICT Roles

We are on a challenging and exciting journey to deliver the vision for our citizens. As part of our customer service transformation the ICT team has just undertaken a department wide restructure and we have a number of new roles in our team to deliver the back office systems which will enable us to become a recognised leader in digital delivery to our customers.

Our core technology is based on the Microsoft stack and we are beginning an ambitious programme to maximise the use of our technology investment to transform both internal ICT and public services. We will be rolling out new end user computing devices, smarter ways of working and cloud solutions. All of this will be achieved through solutions with confidentiality, integrity and availability at their heart to ensure we comply with the General data Protection Regulation (GDPR) protecting our customers’ sensitive data.

  • Dev Ops Manager - £49,663 - £57,910 per annum (qualifies for lease car)
  • Technical Infrastructure Team Leader - £44,443 - £50,189 per annum
  • Information Assurance Manager - £44,443 - £50,189 per annum
  • Senior Technical Infrastructure Analyst - £39,555 - £45,355 per annum
  • Junior Project Manager/PSO/Business Analyst - £33,179 - £40,507 per annum
  • Development Team Leader - £44,443 - £50,189 per annum
  • Developer - £33,179 - £40,507 per annum
  • Service Desk Analyst (x2) - £24,871 - £29,026 per annum
