Enfield Youth and Family Support Service- Youth Development Unit (YDU)We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Youth Development Worker to take the lead in providing universal youth work programmes in Enfield. The Youth Development Unit offers an educational service that means young people- * Gain nationally recognised awards and qualifications * Improve life, social and vocational skills * Get personal support to strengthen protective factors In Enfield we set the bar high. Our children and young deserve excellent services that improve outcomes. Our work is on the frontline of early intervention and prevention provision within the Borough and makes a contribution to improving outcomes for children and young people. This Senior Worker post will lead and manage the development of the Youth Work in the Borough with partners from community and volunteer sector. We are seeking a high calibre professional who can demonstrate a track record in providing excellent operational leadership and management regarding the development of structured educational programmes that are accredited with nationally recognised awards and qualifications. We are seeking applicants with experience in developing and managing alternative education, student support and accredited after school activities. Experience of fund-raising and partnership working are also key requirements of this post. You must be able to work well under pressure, possess excellent customer service skills and be able to operate in a commercially-orientated way. You will be able to lead and manage staff to deliver high performing high quality outcome focused services; specifically providing induction, direction, supervision, appraisal, training and managing performance. Your experience must include the use of HR policies and procedures. A professional qualification in youth work, informal education or community education is required for all positions.
