The West of England Combined Authority is made up of Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils. In 2016 these three Councils agreed a devolution deal with Government worth £1 billion. Significant powers have been transferred to the region through the new West of England Combined Authority and West of England Mayor. Working with partners including the LEP, North Somerset Council and other local service providers, the Combined Authority aims to deliver economic growth for the region.
The Combined Authority is looking to recruit an experienced Personal Assistant to the Mayor and Chief Executive.
About the role
The importance of this role is clear – the successful candidate will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Mayor and Chief Executive at a key point in the development of the Combined Authority.
We’ll look to you to deliver a consistently high quality and confidential service – managing diaries, correspondence and telephone calls, as well as often acting as the first point of contact for visitors.
We’d expect you to bring significant experience in a senior PA/secretarial role, with excellent IT skills and an in-depth knowledge of MS Office. This role also requires a keen attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.
We want someone who can work well under pressure and understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality.

We are a small and friendly team and have recently move to new offices are located just minutes away from Bristol Temple Meads station.
