We currently have an opportunity for a Waking Night Project Worker at our scheme, Grove Gardens Flats, in High Wycombe, which focuses on providing supported living for individuals with learning disabilities.This property is adjoined to Grove Gardens Studios and comprises of six one-bedroom flats and 8 studio flats. They are home to 14 people we support between the ages of 24 and 55, and the individuals living within the service attend a range of day services and community opportunities.Key responsibilities as a Waking Night Project Worker:<ul>
<li>Supporting vulnerable adults during night hours, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Communicating effectively using various methods tailored to individual needs.</li>
<li>Working as part of a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.</li>
<li>Promoting independence and respecting the wishes of the people we support.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns promptly whilst ensuring the safety of the property</li>
<li>Offering emotional support as needed</li>
<li>Responding to and documenting any crisis events that may occur during the night</li>
<li>Administering medication if required and completing household tasks</li>
<li>Providing personal care support during the night when required, ensuring residents’ dignity, safety, and well-being are upheld</li>

Waking Night Project Worker

Contract: Permanent Are you passionate about helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to get the best start in life?Are you energetic and creative with skills and knowledge to share?Our excellent training and ongoing support will turn your passion into expertise that can change lives.<h4>About the Team</h4>You will be in one of the 10 Services for Young People district teams and will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the prospects of young people.Working with young people locally aged 11 to 17 in groups of 12-25, many of whom face challenges in their home life, education or local community, you’ll help us deliver targeted prevention and early interventions, informal education opportunities and develop their skills. &nbsp;Supported by qualified and experienced staff, you will be a key member of our team supporting the delivery of a diverse range of curriculum programmes including independent living skills and emotional wellbeing, to supporting young people in staying away from crime, anti-social behaviour and offering guidance on relationships and sexual health.<h4>About the role</h4>Our sessions run for 2.5 hours and typically evenings Monday – Saturday during term time which depending on the weekly hours you can commit to could be the following:<ul><li>5 hours = 2 sessions a week</li><li>7.5 hours = 3 sessions a week</li><li>10 hours = 4 sessions a week</li></ul>We’re looking for people from a wide variety of backgrounds who have worked with Children and/or Young People in a voluntary or paid capacity.Additionally, we are keen to hear from those who have skills to share in areas such as sports, outdoor learning, art &amp; crafts, media, music, health as a tool to establish a relationship and engagement with our young people.If you’re passionate about working with young people, keen to learn, have good communication skills and are a team player, you’ll fit right in to our friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment.Whilst a driving license is not essential some of our locations can be a little challenging on public transport so a car and license would be preferrable.
