The Planning, Transport, and Countryside Division are looking for an enthusiastic planning assistant to work in the Development Plan Team. Working with the Development Plan Team Manager the role will include assisting with the preparation and monitoring of planning policies.
The job will provide an opportunity to gain experience of the Development Plan process including work on the evidence base and public consultation. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the work of the section on the preparation of a new Comprehensive Local Plan to guide development in the Borough to 2036.
We are looking for a versatile individual who enjoys working with a range of people across the Council and who is willing and able to undertake a variety of duties expected of a planning assistant. This will include providing efficient and courteous responses to users of the planning service.
