Based in the Legal Services team of the Administration Service, you will represent the Council in Courts and Tribunals on Planning Inquiries, Judicial Reviews and prosecutions. Your other responsibilities will include drafting documents including Section 106 Agreements, providing advice and training and helping client departments interpret the implications of new legislation. The role will also involve attending various committees and working parties. This important post will concentrate on planning matters but there may also be an opportunity to gain experience of licensing law and practice. About the person You will be an admitted Solicitor or Barrister or a Chartered Legal Executive with recent experience of town and country planning law and practice. Proven ability to conduct cases through the Courts and Tribunals and advocate at civil and criminal Courts and Public Inquiries will be essential. A highly effective communicator, listener and problem-solver, you will have a good knowledge of public sector law and administration.
