Rother District Council is expanding its Strategy and Planning Service to meet the challenges of accommodating more development in a historic and highly valued environment.

Rother District Council is an ambitious Council at the heart of 1066 Country in East Sussex, based in Bexhill-on-Sea but also covering the historic towns of Battle and Rye as well as a large rural area set within the medieval landscape of the High Weald and AONB.

Planning Officer – up to £26,955 per annum + Car Allowance

This post is ideally suited to someone in the early stage of their planning career, keen to take on extra responsibility working across policy and development management teams, including in relation to promoting suitable schemes on brownfield sites and for custom and self-build housing, as well as dealing with planning applications. The appointment will initially be for 3 years.
